Have you any fun recipes for gifts of food from the Orient or India, for Christmas ~ like candied kumquats?

Something you think exotic and fun?

No problem obtaining ingredients.

If you know what the local gift

wrapping would look like ~ even if it is

fresh leaves and flowers or the like ~ please include those instructions?

Bless you!

ooh, anything curried, definately must try the nut cakes, also lotus seed paste, red bean paste, century eggs, lotus flower, lotus root, frozen durian, salted duck eggs, maybe some mooncake although mooncake is usually eaten during the moon festival, hawfruit candies, almond roca, ginseng, bubble tea, lychees, longans, dragonfruits, jasmine tea or other tea mixes, spices especially curry and saffron and other things symbolic of both these places, preserved fruits and vegetables, honey, pomegranate things, oh oh! jujubes (red dates) and other dates! yum!, drinks, wines
Reply:Here are a couple of links for a few very delicious Iranian cookie recipes. Wrap with sheer white cloth drawn up around a little plate of cookies and tie with a silver ribbon so that the cloth fans up several inches above the ribbon. It's very pretty.
